I have been coming to the Steaming Cup for years. It's an anchor in downtown Waukesha. It does a good job, the baristas are experienced, and usually personable and friendly. This is not a Starbucks, so you need to be patient for your special beverage. They make a very good London Fog Latte (a little lavender, vanilla, and extra foam) It's a interesting place, with different areas for seating. There is a backroom, which is down a long/winding hall. It can be more quiet there, but that's not always a guarantee (but it's my go to spot). Because it can get busy, it can also get seriously noisy and hard to hear. There is also outside seating during the warmer months. However, this is a busy intersection and there is truck traffic, so it can be difficult. There a very good selection of pastries, bakery, and a nice menu of breakfast and lunch items. Looking for a unique Yogurt bowl, then try the Brazilian Breakfast, with Acai puree. Today I got the beet salad and my friend a sandwich, which were both very good. They have several different scones to choose from (wish they didn't put them in plastic, traps moisture, and a perfect scone should be on the dryer side - I know, I'm picky about my scones :) Occasionally, (or at least in the past), they have had live music. That was always a nice treat. What you would expect from a locally owned coffee shop.

Great coffee and atmosphere for chatting with friends or studying. The back room is exceptionally cozy. The baristas have good ideas if you're wanting some unique taste or simply a good cup of Joe. Their suggestions have never Steered me wrong. Each visit is exactly what we're looking for.

Top tier Mochas out here at this joint. I go here every other day for coffee. Go ahead and go here for the best in the Sha

First time coming here. Definitely loved how quick and great the service was. Real liked the atmosphere inside this place, lots of pretty cool signs hanging around. Our food was very tasty and done right. Definitely will be back.

I was very pleased with the service and options. I had a lavender cappuccino which was quite good. I also tried the espresso love cake. That was also very good. I make a version of this cake. It's a moist chocolate cake baked around a cheese cake filling and this one was covered with a fudge. It was excellent. This place is hopping even in the middle of the day. We sat in the main dining area, but there is a back seating area and outdoor seating as well. It's a very cute coffee shop. There is so much more here that I want to try so next time I'm in town I'll have to go back.

Charming, quaint little coffee shop in the heart of historic downtown Waukesha. Beautiful old sone building with walls decorated with all types of uplifting plaques, including my favorite "Today is like coffee. It will be as good as you make it." Well, they make coffee great here, so it is a great start to the day. This is a place to savor, stay awhile. If you desire ultra fast coffee, go elsewhere. If you want care and perfection, it is here.

This is a super cute establishment with a wide range of lunch and breakfast options to satisfy all types of tastes and diets. We ordered a grilled chicken ceasar wrap which exceeded our expectations. Everything was super fresh and tasty, while also light yet comforting. The service was quick and everyone was super friendly. The chips as a side were delicious and very generous in serving size.

Easy parking, great vibe, fantastic coffee. Our favorite place to stop for coffee when in Waukesha. If I lived here I would come here for breakfast, lunch, and coffee regularly. In addition to friendly service the shop is beautifully decorated.
